History
JOB Lodge #33 was established in 2004 and received our first warrant and charter from St. Titus Grand Lodge A.F. &A.M., Illinois. In 2015, we joined New Jerusalem Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M.
"It was the culmination of liked-minded brothers from lodges Burnie Scott #84 and Beacon Light #46 from First St. John G.L. of Illinois."
Our name JOB teaches us the fact of suffering and the question that challenges us. The Book of Job is all about human suffering. Its portrayal of one man's sufferings, the ineffective responses of his friends, and his struggle for faith and understanding mirrors our own experiences in the world but God created everything, so God must have created evil. ... In times of suffering, we turn to the Book of Job where God allows Satan to test Job. Satan suggests that Job would not worship God if God did not protect him. However, Job being a God-fearing man did not lose his faith in god and was rewarded threefold.
