Guidelines
❖ Recipients
High School Senior who will be attending college in the fall 2024 and returning student/continuing education
❖ Award Amount
starting amount $250
❖ Criteria
1. Proof of 2.5 GPA or greater.
2. Three letters of recommendation.
3. Proof of volunteer service.
4. 500 word essay. Topic -Why should YOU be chosen as a recipient of the Donald and Cheryl Appleton Scholarship?
5. Essay questions.
6. College Acceptance Letter-high school student/ returning student - fall registration.
Essay Questions
1. Have you ever been in a leadership position? What has being in a leadership role taught you? How have you displayed leadership?
2. What does community service mean to you? Give examples of how you have been of service to your community? In the long term, what are your plans for continual commitment to your community?
3. What are your plans after graduation? Do you have an alternate plan?

Award Notification 01 May 2024 Official Letter and email
Email Scholarship package which should include:
College Acceptance Letter
Fall registration Application
Essay Questions Proof of G.P.A.
Three Letters of recommendations Volunteer/proof of service to:

Award checks will be made payable/mailed to the recipient’s Education
Institution on behalf of the recipient after receiving final semester grades and fall 2024 registration.
*Applications received after April 1, 2024 11:59pm will not be accepted.
